SPRING IS HERE!

We were surprised by 70* weather and had a great day getting ready for our move back to our mountain farm! It was beautiful and clear without a cloud to be seen. The bees were out and flying and the cows and sheep are ready to go out on pasture! Drea started the day with the morning milking routine and I managed to snap a few photos of her and her helper!

We got out and checked on the bees too! They are out and looking to forage! I saw lots of drawn out wax with capped honey left over so it looks like they were O.K. this winter!

We finished off the day with an amazing barbecue that Drea prepared for us! Our own farm raised pastured chicken, and garbanzo beans with fresh micro greens! The kiddos played with a hose on the trampoline!

I think the dogs and chickens loved the day too!

Looking forward to your next post. I’m glad to hear that you guys are still planning on coming home. I think there is a real need for homesteaders in this area. I feel some hands on tutorials would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for sharing and showing us your family thoughts and lifestyles. Sholom 😀
